So…I watched it on my phone at school, because I was too impatient to wait to get to my laptop, and I didn’t have headphones to go to the library, nor did I want to frighten the poor people in the library. The entire time, I was staring intently at my phone, listening carefully, watching everything. The moment it was done, this was all that would come out of my mouth:

“eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee”

One of my friends thought I was dying, and I might as well have been. SO. CUTE. The second I got home I watched it on my laptop, and I swear I almost starting crying.

Taking all of this way too srsly? Yes. Do I give a fuck? Hell no.

Blaine is of Gaelic origin, meaning yellow. Yellow is vibrant and friendly. The color of sunshine, yellow represents happiness, joy, good humor, intellect and energy. I used yellow sunflowers because: Bright and cheery, bold yet comfortable, the sunflower is a warm and caring gift. The sunflower’s petals have been likened to bright yellow rays of sunshine, which evoke feelings of warmth and happiness. In addition, the sunflower is often associated with adoration and longevity.

Yellow by Coldplay was associated because the song is all about doing everything you can for the one you love and how beautiful you think that person is. Romantically, brotherly, it’s all unconditional. When Blaine loves, he loves with everything he has because he is earnest and genuine and wants to do all he can for the person he cares about.

The canary is a given. However, dreaming of a yellow canary can mean sensitivity and vulnerability. Also the power of personal voice and “singing your own song” in life. Canaries are connected with freedom and intellect. Also testing and self-sacrifice. If depicted in a cage it symbolises entrapment, prisoners and sometimes unhappiness.

I refuse to believe that naming this character Blaine was mere coincidence.
